The Coming Of The Lord !
1Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 behold I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Revelation 11:15 **** Notice carefully that when this angel sounds the seventh trumpet the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of Christ. **** Look now at the 18th verse carefully. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. The saints here are saints of the first resurrection Revelation 20:5, but the rest of the dead the apostle John declares will not rise or come forth until the second resurrection at the end of the thousand year millennium reign of Christ. Two resurrections are spoken of by the apostle John, not three. The rewards here in Revelation 11:18 are given to the saints upon their resurrection and Christs appearing. A further documentation of this is found in 2nd Timothy 4:1. I charge the therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. 2nd Timothy 4: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing. The words here are decisively spoken by the apostles.
1st Corinthians 15:23,24 Paul says every man in his own order:Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christs at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
The apostle Paul here is declaring that Jesus was the first fruits, and that the saints that are alive and remain at his coming to include those that are asleep in him, he delivers up after the millennium kingdom reign. Then we have what the apostle John declares as the second resurrection of the dead. It's easily seen that these two Apostles declare only two resurrections.
Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 further declares that the dead those that are asleep in Jesus he will bring with him at his coming. The trumpet here is the awakening trumpet, gathering trumpet, in fact the last trumpet. To teach more than these two resurrections are extremely misleading.
In Matthew 24:31 Jesus spoke of the trumpet of gathering of his saints which are his elect. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds; from one end of heaven to the other. These in heaven that are being gathered are those that are asleep in him that he's bringing back at his appearing and kingdom. We that are alive and remain at this trumpet blast will be gathered together with them as Jesus establishes his earthly kingdom.
